This electrode deposits metal with a minimum tensile strength of 90,000 psi, has a basic low-hydrogen coating, and is a general type (G) with excellent toughness.
The weld metal has high tensile and yield strength and possesses excellent toughness and impact resistance at sub-zero temperatures.
It features a stable arc, easy slag removal, and high metal recovery (around 115%).
It is a low-hydrogen electrode, with diffusible hydrogen levels in the weld metal typically around 4-5 ml/100 grams.
Suitable for heavy structures subjected to dynamic loading and impact.
Applications include welding high-strength steel used in bridge construction.
